Looking for some inspiration, motivation, and entertainment to keep your startup moving forward?

Startup Riot recently announced its two Keynote speakers for their August 8th pitch conference, called SHOW, and they are two speakers that you and your team won’t want to miss.

Jon Crawford is the founder and CEO of San Francisco based Storenvy. With a background in engineering and design, Jon ran a web development shop in Kansas City, MO, before being struck with the unnecessary pain of setting up online stores. Oh, and he was also accepted and then tossed out of Y-Combinator, so he’s got a great story resembling the rise of a phoenix.

Second keynote is Andrew Hyde, who started Ignite Boulder, TEDxBoulder, and Startup Weekend. He also designed a couple t-shirts once that became pretty popular with VCs – maybe you’ve seen them? No idea what he’s going to talk about during his keynote, but he’s probably got enough stories to fill a book – like maybe this one.

And in case you’re asking yourself what the heck is Startup Riot, here it is in a nutshell. Thirty entrepreneurs, from literally all over the world, have 3 min to pitch their product in 4 slides to a panel of judges and audience, followed by a 3 min Q&A. Winners, voted on by both the judges and audience, walk away with a mix of cash prizes, in kind services, and several hours of meetings with investors. Between the hour long pitch sessions, and the keynotes, attendees have the opportunity to check out the demo pit, get their questions answered by the teams, and network.

The best part of Startup Riot? The people attending. Only people who you want to talk to are in attendance – active, engaged members of the startup community who either entrepreneurs, investors, corporate representatives, or supportive community members. You’re not going to find service providers here. Not one because they screen them all out (unless, of course they are sponsors!).

Oh, and another really cool thing is the cost of the tickets – they’re affordable! This is an event FOR the bootstrappers, with tickets starting at $40 for entrepreneurs and topping out at $80 for investors.

All the awesomeness of Startup Riot is compact into a single day, August 8th. Again, it’s at Showbox SoDo, and you need to apply and pay for your ticket in advance, and they are now taking applications. They don’t accept walk up registrations ever. You should probably go to this. All details and registration info can be found here http://startupriot.com/show/seattle.
